Scenic Drive through the Bad Lands in South Dakota

South Dakota goes on forever.  Scattered rows of foot talls trees are the only break in the flat dryness.  It feels like time stretches out and days seem to go by with nothing to keep me awake.  It would be nice if the Road Commission people would built a giant SLINGSHOT to shoot my car over to the other side.

At the western end of the state there is a thirty mile scenic loop to the south, that connects back onto the interstate at the other end.  It is well worth the $15 a car just to break up the monotony.
